My second try at double-face 3/1 broken twill. Woven with 10/2 perle cotton. I found the pattern for the larger knot at Babette’s Web Site. This is a wonderful web site for finding interesting patterns to weave. And you can enter

your own pattern for others to copy!

Encouraged by my fellow Banditos at the Weaver’s Guild of Minnesota, I entered the band in the 2012 Minnesota State Fair. It not only won first place in the Band Weaving category, but took the Sweepstakes prize: best among all categories of weaving, knotting, felting, and caning. I am honored that judges deemed it worthy of ranking among the beautifully crafted pieces submitted. 10/2 Perle cotton, 39 pattern threads, 6 border threads each side (2 black, two orange, two black).
